Do I need the original CAD file?
No. Reverse engineering is for parts where the original CAD file or drawing isn't available.
Can you recreate a broken part?
Yes. In many cases, missing or damaged features can be rebuilt from the remaining geometry.
How accurate can the model be?
It depends on the size, shape and how the part needs to be measured. We'll discuss tolerances with you before starting.
Can you change the part instead of making an exact copy?
Yes. Dimensions, mounting features, thicknesses, holes and other features can all be changed during the redesign.
Can you print the part after creating the model?
Yes. We can reverse engineer the part and then print it for you through our 3D printing service.
